One of the biggest online media streaming services, Netflix, just got bigger. Netflix will launch its services in Spain sometime in October this year. Spain is amongst the nations that have the highest piracy rate. It is said to be a safe haven for online pirates, downloading and accessing online content illegally.
In an interview, the Netflix CEO, Reed Hastings said that Spanish users are more prepared for the service thanks to years of piracy. Netflix has done considerably well in countries dealing with problem of piracy. Countries like Canada and Netherlands had high piracy rate when Netflix was being launched and today Netflix commands a healthy audience from these two regions.
With these promising signs, Netflix will commence its services in Spain in October this year. The streaming library available for subscribers will be similar to those offered in Germany and France when Netflix was initially launched. Spanish users will have limited streaming library and fewer titles to choose from, including Netflix’s own House of Cards and Orange is the New Black which will not be available.
You can overcome this problem using a VPN for Netflix. Until the service is launched in Spain, using a VPN you can enjoy online streaming by unblocking it from anywhere in the world. And, when it is released, you can enjoy full Netflix streaming library through a VPN.
