If you selected IKEv2 protocol, choose the ‘Connect using’ from either username and password or certificate (ask your VPN provider which one you should use). If you selected L2TP/IPSec protocol, then you will have to enter Preshared Key (which can be obtained from your VPN provider).
Now activate ‘Connect automatically’ and ‘Send all traffic’ on your Windows Phone. Toggle ‘Server certificate validation’ if you selected certificate option in IKEv2. Once this is done, hit ‘Save’ and your new profile will be created (you do not have to change ‘advance’ settings).
Now you are ready to use you VPN on your Windows Phone. Tab on the new profile and you will be connected to the VPN.
